About Kiran Thakrar
Kiran Thakrar a keyboard player, Composer and Producer based in London has been working, living and breathing music over 25 years. He has performed in more than 4000 concerts worldwide and has worked with some of the most respected names in the industry like Late Ustad Nusrahat Fateh Ali Khan, Zakir Hussein, Shivamani, James Asher, Hariharan, Hans Raj Hans, Bollywood music directors Nadeem Shravan, Sadhna Sargam and many more.

He has composed and produced many award winning albums. His latest collaboration and music arrangement on the Kiran Ahluwalia’s album named ‘Beyond Boundaries’ has been awarded as ‘Best World Music Album of 2004’ by Canada’s highest JUNO awards (known as the Canadian Grammy).

A strong interest in the musical technology led Kiran to explore the worlds of computers, programming and found this a great opportunity to pioneer fusions of Eastern and Western musical styles and this encouraged Kiran to further explore the creative fusing of modern technological processes, and the blending of broad global elements to evolve truly new musical genres. Kiran enjoys the possibilities of creative manipulation offered by hard-disk recording in his studio called Globalrootz.
